“Sunken Bouquet” was completed at a time of major political upheaval following the Dobbs v. Jackson US Supreme Court ruling. I was inspired by all of the amazing women I met organizing their communities and support networks despite an uphill battle. Like the flowers, even under suffocation conditions, these women bloomed.
